Microïds and Pendulo Studios have announced that Yesterday Origins will release on Nintendo Switch, an adventure game that starts in the 15th century.

When John Yesterday is imprisoned for practising sorcery by the Spanish Inquisition, he escapes and performs an alchemical ritual that makes him immortal. Not everything went as planned though, and each time that he is resurrected he loses his memory – retaining only brief glimpses of his previous lives.

Now, in the modern day, John lives with his girlfriend Pauline Petit, who is also immortal, in Paris. But, unlike him, she has been able to keep the memories of her past lives. Working together they will try to recreate the ritual so that John can keep his memories, but they are not the only ones that want to recover the secret of immortality.

Yesterday Origins will release at retail and on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch on May 31st.
