Binary Haze Interactive, Live Wire and Adglobe Ender have revealed that Lilies: Quietus of the Knights will soon see release on Nintendo Switch, news that was shared in last week’s Indie World showcase.
After the unforeseen descent of the “Rain of Death,” every living thing in Land’s End was transformed into frenzied undead monstrosities known as the Blighted. Met with a calamity far beyond their comprehension, the kingdom fell into ruin.
In the remnants of this ruined world, a young priestess called Lily wakes in the depths of a church to discover the surrounding hamlet and woods have become overrun by such creatures.
You must guide her through Land’s End in this dark fantasy 2D action RPG on her sorrowful quest to purify the blight that was brought on by the cursed rain.
After bringing challenging bosses to their knees, you can exorcise them of the blight to receive visions of the past before recruiting them as companion spirits. These souls can be used to create a ghostly bodyguard squad that can help you overcome the obstacles that you face and ultimately discover the source behind the Rain of Death.
“Early Access users are in love with the soundtrack and have clamoured to see the ending of Ender Lilies. We hope they will enjoy the rest of Lily’s journey,” explains Binary Haze Interactive CEO Hiroyuki Kobayashi. “Between feedback from players, our action-packed gameplay, and the beautiful atmosphere created by Mili’s music and our artists, Ender Lilies will satisfy existing Metroidvania fans while bringing new ones into the fold.”
Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 22nd June 2021.
