LEVEL-5 has revealed that Professor Layton and the New World of Steam is in development for Nintendo Switch, news that was shared in this week’s Nintendo Direct presentation.
The popular puzzle-adventure series has sold more than 18 million units worldwide, and will soon make a return to the portable home console.
With Professor Layton and Luke Triton confirmed to both be back, you will once again be challenged to solve epic riddles as you progress through the story in this latest entry.
Having seemingly bowed out in 2014’s Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy on Nintendo 3DS, it was his daughter who had to deduce the mysteries behind strange occurrences across London in Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires’ Conspiracy.
Professor Layton and the New World of Steam will release at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide, with a release window to be confirmed.
