Pokkén Tournament won’t just include Fighting-type Pokémon

In the wake of excitement over this week’s Pokkén Tournament announcement, game director Katsuhiro Harada has clarified that the arcade game’s characer roster won’t be built from just Fighting-type Pokémon.

That assumption had been made after concept footage and the gameplay reveal trailer presented Blaziken, Lucario, and Machamp as being early contenders for inclusion.

Harada is welcoming any suggestions as to which Pokémon fans would like to see join the fray, so feel free to send him a quick message on Twitter.

Pokkén Tournament is being developed in collaboration with Bandai Namco Games, and is scheduled to release in arcades across Japan in 2015.
