Now just five sleeps away from launch, Nintendo have confirmed their Nintendo eShop pricing for Pokémon X and Pokémon Y.

Those opting for a digital purchase can expect to be paying a slight premium over that of the packaged version, with the games initially priced at £39.99 (€44.99).

With online retailers slapping an average price tag of £33 on the eagerly awaited titles it certainly won’t cause sudden cancellations en masse, although still falls within the boundaries of reason for those wanting their copy to be with them at all times without having to worry about searching on their hands and knees for a game cart.

Pokémon X and Pokémon Y will launch worldwide on October 12th.

  1. You can pre-order the download version for the same price as the box version for many stores such as game.
