The Pokémon Company International and Game Freak have released a new software update for Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, which are now on version 1.2.1.

This has corrected a bug related to the password settings that had been identified, as well as addressing “several other issues” to improve your gameplay experience.

Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield are now available exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide.

  • A bug in regards to the number of digits for password settings has been fixed
    • In regards to the passwords that can be set for Y-Comm and Max Raid Battles, we fixed the bug where players could be matched with others whose passwords were not coinciding.
  • Additional updated content
    • We fixed several other issues to improve gameplay experience.
