Pokémon Sword And Shield Mystery Gift: Codes, Internet And Poké Ball Plus

With the world now having the chance to explore the Galar region in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, many have started wondering about whether there is a Mystery Gift available for the adventures.

Game Freak use the Mystery Gift system to distribute items and Pokémon to players, a mechanism that has been in place since the Game Boy Color’s infrared port was put to use in Pokémon Gold and Silver.

Things are much simpler nowadays, with the distributions usually requiring that you either pop into a retailer to grab a serial code or connect your console to the Mystery Gift server online.

Pokémon Sword And Shield Mystery Gift Poké Ball Plus

We know that Mew awaits you inside the Poké Ball Plus, which will be the first Mystery Gift for those that choose to buy the accessory.

However, there’s bad news for those that have already used their Poké Ball Plus to retrieve the New Species Pokémon in Pokémon Let’s Go, Pikachu! or Pokémon Let’s Go, Eevee!.

In short, you can only receive Mew once and will, therefore, need to purchase a second Poké Ball Plus to add it to your Pokédex in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield.
