Niantic has announced that the Pokémon GO Water Festival even has now started worldwide, with Water-type Pokémon like Magikarp and Wailmer now appearing more frequently in the wild.
The event will run until 1pm PDT on Thursday 21st June, and, if you’re lucky, you may even encounter a rare Shiny Shellder.
Field Research tasks will highlight Water-type Pokémon, and you will be able to earn three times as much Stardust for catching them. And, 2km Eggs will hatch Pokémon like Totodile, Mudkip, and Corphish – with the chance to earn Double Candy and Stardust for every Egg that you hatch.
Raid Battles will also challenge you with powerful Water-type Pokémon such as the Legendary Pokémon Kyogre, and, if you come out victorious, there’s a chance that you may encounter its Shiny form.
