The Pokémon Company International and Niantic have revealed Pokémon GO: Season of Heritage, the next season that is “coming soon” to the location-based game.
With minimal information currently available about the season at the moment, the developer has teased that “we’ll look to the past for answers that will help guide us into the future of Pokémon GO!”
The season’s theme seems to indicate a cross-game promotion to tie in with the upcoming Pokémon Legends: Arceus. However, the background artwork to the logo is also similar in appearance to Ecruteak City in the Johto region, which was, of course, first seen in Pokémon Gold, Pokémon Silver and Pokémon Crystal.
Pokémon GO is now available as a free download on the App Store for iOS devices and Google Play for Android devices.
