Pokémon: The First Movie airing on Cartoon Network this weekend

Cartoon Network will provide a rare opportunity to watch Pokémon: The First Movie this weekend, letting you see a digitally remastered version of Ash and Pikachu’s cinematic debut.

Created with a budget of $3 million, it swept the world by storm to eventually gross more than $163 million. It sees Legendary Pokémon Mewtwo rebuke his existence as a lab experiment, plotting his revenge against humanity by creating his own clone army to correct the “imbalance” between Pokémon and their Trainers.

It is set to be broadcast this Saturday (January 4th) on Cartoon Network at 8.30am in all time zones across North America.
