It has been announced that a Pokémon Animation Studio will be opened at Westfield London’s KidZania.

The 75,000 sq ft ‘child-sized city’ will open on Thursday 25th June, with the attraction to open on the first floor later this year.

MCV reports that the Pokémon Animation Studio will help children create their own short movies, teaching them the basics behind stop-motion animation.

To do so, they’ll use Tomy’s Pokémon toys in methods largely attributed to Aardman Animations, who have found success in Wallace and Gromit, Shaun the Sheep, Creature Comforts and Morph over the years.

These toys will then be available through the KidZania Redemption Store, where children can spend credits earned by participating in activities – such as the Pokémon Animation Studio.
