CIRCLE Entertainment and Might and Delight have announced that Shelter Generations will release on Nintendo Switch as a console exclusive.
This special digital package will include Shelter 2, Paws, and, rather ambiguously at this point, “more,” which will be revealed in the future.
Shelter 2 is an open-world adventure game in which you play as a mother lynx, starting as a pregnant animal, soon giving birth, and then continuing on a journey of parenthood where nurturing her cubs is paramount for survival.
Players must consider their stamina, using different types of movements and jumps to kill their prey. There are also maternal and hunting mechanics such as calling the cubs closer, smelling for prey, making sure they drink water from rivers, or lifting and carrying your cubs from harm’s way.
Whereas Paws is a standalone adventure set in the same world as Shelter 2, where players will play as a lynx cub as she takes her first steps in a vast environment. The lovingly crafted story about loss, friendship, and family will challenge you to overcome the obstacles of the harsh world as the young cub becomes separated from her family.
Shelter Generations will release exclusively on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch in 2018.
