Nnooo publishing Evil Aliens’ Orbitor on consoles

Nnooo have announced that they will publish Orbitor across consoles, developed by fellow Australian studio Evil Aliens.

Placing you in space themed environments, this visually spellbinding action adventure game sees you control a space probe named Orbitor to lock it onto objects, orbit them to gather speed, destroy them and then collect the energy life forms that they release on successfully doing so.

The probe is an autonomous and self repairing Artificial Intelligence that’s returned to its place of origin complete with upgraded abilities and a new mission – to stop its creator.

“We’ve had our eye on Orbitor for some time now,” comments Nnooo’s creative director Nic Watt. “We saw the game at last year’s EB Expo in Sydney and thought it would look great on console. It’s also got an amazingly atmospheric soundtrack which draws you right into the game. We’re really excited to be working with the Evil Aliens team on their first project.”

Evil Aliens director Dale Ward adds, “This is a great opportunity for us to get our game across multiple platforms. We’ve been developing Orbitor for a couple of years now and we’re really happy with how it’s progressing. Teaming up with Nnooo to get the game on to console was a no-brainer.”

Orbitor is expected to be released on console in the US, Europe, Australia and New Zealand in 2014.
