Nintendo UK searching for new consumer PR agency

Nintendo UK are to part ways with 77PR, now on the hunt for a new consumer agency to help their activity around Wii U and Nintendo 3DS remain “fresh and innovative.”

77PR, Fishburn’s consumer arm, had handled the account since 2013, after taking it over from Good Relations. Whereas Fishburn themselves have been responsible for Nintendo of Europe’s PR and corporate communications since 2008.

PRWeek report that AAR will help handle the pitch process, which is being overseen by Nintendo UK’s head of communications, Jo Bartlett.

“In order to keep the PR activity for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS both fresh and innovative, Nintendo UK is currently reviewing its UK PR agency with the help of the AAR,” a Nintendo spokesperson explained. “Nintendo is in the final stages of the process.”
