Nintendo UK announce promotions and departures

Nintendo UK has announced that four internal promotions, whilst also saying a fond farewell to two members of the team that will move on to pastures new.

Parham Shibaie has been promoted to head of operations for the UK and Ireland, reporting to general manager Simon Kemp. Shibaie joined Nintendo UK in 2006 as a finance and trade analyst, becoming customer services manager in 2008 and later being appointed operations manager for the UK and Ireland in 2011.

His previous role will be filled by Michelle Horsley, who joined as operations executive in 2009.

Meanwhile, Ian Deed is promoted to head of finance from commercial manager, a position he has held since 2012. Lastly, Stuart Williams becomes senior commercial finance analyst.

As for departures, finance director Tom Pearce and junior PR manager Emily Woolliscroft will leave the company. Pearce has been with Nintendo UK since 2001 when he joined as finance manager, and left at the end of July. Whereas Woolliscroft was hired in 2010 after working as a PR assistant at Disney, and will leave in October.

“We are always pleased to be able to announce and to celebrate internal promotions and offer our congratulations to Par, Ian, Stuart and Michelle,” general manager Simon Kemp shared with MCV. “At the same time we are sad to be saying goodbye to two valued members of our team and wish Tom and Emily every luck in the next stages of their careers.”
