Nintendo of Europe has revealed that Nintendo Switch has once again broken sales records across the region in the week leading up to Black Friday.

“More Nintendo Switch consoles and games were sold in the UK and across Europe in the week of 22nd November than any other week in the console’s lifespan,” the company confirmed in a press release.

It was the limited-time bundle – which includes a Nintendo Switch console, a download code for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and a three-month individual Nintendo Switch Online membership – that helped them to achieve the portable home console’s “best-ever hardware sales week in Europe” to surpass the previous record which was set in November 2019.

That wasn’t their only success in November either, with Nintendo of Europe continuing: “November 2021 also saw back-to-back record-breaking weeks for Nintendo Switch software sales in Europe. In the week of 15th November, more Nintendo Switch games were sold across Europe than any previous week in the console’s history, a record that was then further surpassed the following week.

“A significant launch in November was the release of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl on 19th November, which combined sold more than six million copies globally in the first weekend on sale.”
