Nintendo has revealed that four new SEGA Genesis games have been made available to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers.
Once you have downloaded the latest software update (version 2.6.0), you will be able to access these new games which have been added to the service:
Crusader of Centy: This action RPG made its debut late in the Genesis / Mega Drive era. When beasts once repelled by the light return and invade the human realm, a 14-year-old boy sets off on an adventure with sword in hand. Among his companions are a dog, penguin, lion and other animals with special abilities, all at his side as he learns to unlock the secrets of the world.
Ghouls ‘n Ghosts: The powered-up sequel to Ghosts ‘n Goblins returns! Three years after the defeat of Satan, Princess Prin Prin’s soul has fallen to the schemes of a new demon. The time has come for Arthur to rise again and vanquish evil!
Landstalker: In this smash hit action RPG, Nigel the treasure hunter embarks on an adventure with his tiny partner, Friday, to seek a lost treasure. The game’s isometric approach to 3D action will take some quick thinking!
The Revenge of Shinobi: An action game starring Joe Musashi of the Oboro Clan, a modern-day ninja. Battle the evil group Neo Zeed with his deadly Hassou Shuriken attack and potent ninjutsu. Features an acclaimed soundtrack by Yuzo Koshiro.
The SEGA Genesis – Nintendo Switch Online collection launched in late October and has since grown to also offer the following games: Alien Soldier, Alien Storm, Alisia Dragoon, Altered Beast, Beyond Oasis, Castlevania: Bloodlines, Columns, Comix Zone, Contra: Hard Corps, Dr. Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine, Dynamite Headdy, Earthworm Jim, Ecco the Dolphin, Flicky, Golden Axe, Golden Axe II, Gunstar Heroes, Kid Chameleon, Light Crusader, Mega Man: The Wily Wars, Musha, Phantasy Star IV, Pulseman, Ristar, Shining Force, Shining Force II, Shinobi III, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic the Hedgehog Spinball, Space Harrier II, Street Fighter II: Special Champion Edition, Streets of Rage 2, Strider, Super Fantasy Zone, Sword of Vermilion, Target Earth, Thunder Force II, ToeJam & Earl, Virtua Fighter 2 and Zero Wing.
Nintendo recently revealed that Nintendo Switch Online now has more than 36 million subscribers.
The pricing plans for Nintendo Switch Online are £3.49 ($3.99) per month, £6.99 ($7.99) for three months or £17.99 ($19.99) for 12 months. There is a 12-month Family Membership for £31.49 ($34.99) that allows a Nintendo Account holder to “invite up to seven others to join a family group” that will all have access to Nintendo Switch Online.
Whereas an individual membership to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack is priced at £34.99 ($49.99) for 12 months, with a Family Membership priced at £59.99 ($79.99).
