Nintendo has announced that three Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) games are now available to those subscribed to the Nintendo Switch Online service.

Once you have downloaded the latest software update for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System – Nintendo Switch Online app (version 3.9.0), those who subscribe will have access to the new additions:

Amazing Hebereke: It’s a battle royale with Hebe and friends. Who’ll be the winner?! Originally released for the Super Famicom system in 1994, Amazing Hebereke features battles with up to four characters where the last one standing is the winner! Hebe, along with each of the other characters, can perform two unique special attacks in addition to their normal attacks that are activated by performing certain button inputs. Use your attacks in combination with the items and traps on each stage to take control and earn your hard-fought victory!

Super R-Type: A galactic battle begins! The BYDO Empire of mutant extraterrestrials is back with evil intent and awesome power. Now the evil empire is poised to launch a new attack on Earth. Only the revolutionary R-9, the planet’s most advanced form of defense, stands between these monsters and doom. Fight through seven challenging stages – picking up power-up items as you progress – on the way to each stage’s memorable boss. Is the BYDO Empire invincible? You’ll need lightning reflexes, intuitive moves and a big dose of cosmic luck to hold your own! Better prepare yourself, because the mutants “R” ready for you!

Wrecking Crew ’98: Two games in one Mario puzzler! This action puzzler was released only in Japan via the Nintendo Power rewritable game system in 1998 – and then again for the Super Famicom system proper. In this title, you can play either the original Wrecking Crew game from the Famicom, or you can play Wrecking Crew ’98, the updated Super Famicom version.

In Wrecking Crew, you control Mario and must dodge enemy attacks as you destroy walls and ladders. Once you wreck it all, you’ve cleared the stage. There are 100 stages in all! Wrecking Crew ’98, on the other hand, is a competition. Destroy and arrange panels to line up matching colors. Line up three or more, and they will be cleared. By clearing four or more panels, you can even launch an attack on your opponent based on the color of the panels. The more panels you clear at once, the more powerful your attack! If your opponent crosses the line at the top for longer than three seconds, victory is yours!
