Nintendo prepare Virtual Console releases for March

Nintendo of Europe have announced plans to release a slew of Virtual Console titles throughout March.

on Nintendo 3DS, the month kicks off with Punch-Out!! and Super Mario Bros. from the NES era, followed by the original Metroid as well as Game Boy classics Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters and Dr Mario. SEGA Game Gear titles will also at last arrive, with Dragon Crystal, Shinobi and Sonic the Hedgehog: Triple Trouble being the first to hit the Nintendo eShop.

Whereas Wii owners can also look forward to Capcom’s Mega Man X, Mega Man 5 and Super Street Fighter 2, which is the first Virtual Console game to include Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection functionality to challenge other players online. Side-scrolling action games Strider and Samurai Shodown IV: Amakusa’s Revenge are also confirmed.
