This week saw the release of two New Nintendo 3DS cover plate sets inspired by The Legend of Zelda, although the Nintendo Official UK Store has suffered a mishap in incorrectly allocating stock.

Those that had pre-ordered the special Majora’s Mask design have instead received those with the more minimalist The Legend of Zelda design, and vice versa. The store, which is run by The Hut Group on behalf of Nintendo UK, is aware of the issue, and has asked that those with the incorrect cover plates await instructions from them as to what to do next.

“The Nintendo Official UK Store is aware that there has been an issue with the delivery of a small number of the New Nintendo 3DS Cover Plates Numbers 023 and 024,” an email from the retailer reads.

“We are looking into this as a matter of urgency and will be in touch with you directly should you have been affected. In the meantime, if you have received the incorrect cover plate, we’d ask that you hold onto it until you receive further communication from us. We apologise for any inconvenience.”
