These Viz Media publications have proven popular, with The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past being a 196-page adaptation of the revered Super Nintendo Entertainment System classic. The story and art were penned by Shotaro Ishinormori, and the comic was first serialised in Nintendo Power magazine before later being collected in a graphic novel.
Whereas Super Mario Adventures is inspired by the portly plumber’s video game series and was similarly serialised in Nintendo Power magazine. Charlie Nozawa scrawled the art while Kentaro Takekuma wrote the story, which sees Princess Toadstool once again captured by Bowser. Mario and Luigi team up with Luigi to rescue her and must defeat the Koopa King’s forces before he marries the Princess.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past is now available to purchase, with Super Mario Adventures to release in Europe and North America on October 20th.
