Nintendo investigating Wii U error codes 160-0103 and 160-1710

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is reportedly triggering increased instances of players encountering error codes 160-0103 and 160-1710 on the console.

The error, which prompts the user that there was a problem with the system memory, has been a uncommon but recurring issue since the Wii U’s launch. Nintendo have confirmed that they are investigating, although recommend users to “restart the system and try again” before turning to customer support.

“A small percentage of consumers playing Wii U may experience error codes (160-0103 and 160-1710) that could affect the ability of the system to function properly. We are investigating this issue now,” a company representative shared.

“Until the solution is available, anyone that experiences these error codes can call the Nintendo contact center at 1-800-255-3700 for help and repair.”
