Blowfish Studios and Indiesruption have revealed that Nine Witches: Family Disruption will release on Nintendo Switch.

This comedic alternate-history occult adventure game is set in Sundäe, a rustic village on the northwest coast of Norway.

As World War II rages on, the Third Reich’s Okkulte-SS division has descended on the hamlet, looking to harness a mystical power “to strike a terrible blow against Allied forces.”

The United Kingdom’s prime minister has ordered professor Alexei Krakovitz and his assistant Akiro Kagasawa to investigate reports of witchcraft and put an end to the Nazi’s hellish machinations.

That will see you explore the community of Sundäe, meeting eccentric characters in your search for answers to supernatural enigmas.

Thanks to his ability to traverse the Astral Plane, that will see professor Krakovitz cross from the world of living to the realm of the dead and possess weak-minded individuals from the confines of his wheelchair.

You will also be able to commune with ghosts to learn about the region’s haunting history, or, when situations need a physical touch, switch to Kagasawa to solve puzzles or participate in side-scrolling action combat.

“Nine Witches: Family Disruption was born from my desire to blend world history with magic and my personal sense of humour,” explains Indisruption designer Diego Cánepa.

“I’m grateful Blowfish Studios are using their powers to help me bring the game to consoles and PC so this story can be enjoyed by players across the world.”

Nine Witches: Family Disruption will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in Q2 2020, priced at £15.99 ($19.99).
