Unbound Creations has revealed that their news editor sim Headliner: NoviNews will release on Nintendo Switch.

You are the Headliner, operating as the chief editor of the country’s largest news publication. In your role, you must decide which stories to run, meet your quotas, keep your audience engaged, and make enough money to keep food in the dog bowl.

It’s controversy that will drive clicks, and, with the world in conflict, it up to you to cultivate the country’s culture through shaping public opinion.

While your days in-game will be spent sat behind your desk, each night, while walking home, you will have the chance to observe how the stories you ran have influenced the public.

“Headliner: NoviNews tackles one of today’s most pertinent issues: the mass distribution of information,” explains Unbound Creations founder and director Jakub Kasztalski.

“We’re constantly being fed conflicting realities and ‘alternative facts’ that are making it increasingly hard for us to make sense of the world around us. I wanted to make a game that explores the difficulties in uniting a nation in a world where skepticism and bias have left us increasingly distrustful of everything we hear.”

Headliner: NoviNews will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on August 19th priced at $13.99.
