Five new Pokémon make an appearance within the latest trailer for Nintendo 3DS exclusives Pokémon X and Pokémon Y.

First up is Pangoro, the evolved form of Pancham, a Fighting and Dark-Type Pokémon who has the Iron Fist ability which strengthens punching moves. It can also learn the Fighting-type move Hammer Arm, that deals a lot of damage although lowers speed.

Next up is the rather adorable Inkay, a Dark and Psychic-type that has access to the Contrary Ability move that causes any effect that would lower its stats to increase them instead. It can also learn a new Dark-type move called Topsy-Turvy which reverses all stat changes that are affecting a target Pokemon.

Inkay’s evolved form is Malamar, which reportedly “wields some of the strongest hypnotic powers of any Pokemon.” It can learn Hypnosis, lulling opponents to sleep as per usual

Next up is Swirlix, which is exclusive to Pokémon X. It “loves sweets and eats nothing else, making its body as sweet and sticky as cotton candy.” Scrumptious! Swirlix is a Fairy-type that has access to the new Sweet Veil Ability, which keeps teammates from falling asleep.

Spritzee is the Pokémon Y equivalent exclusive, emitting a “unique fragrance from its body” that causes anyone who smells it to fall under its spell. It’s a Fairy-type, with access to new move Draining Kiss which damages its target whilst restoring some HP to the user.

Pokémon X and Y will release worldwide for Nintendo 3DS on October 12th.
