Nintendo has announced that a new entry in the Fire Emblem series is being developed exclusively for Nintendo Switch, scheduled to release in 2018.

This marks the first time that the strategy RPG series has released on a home console since Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, which lead the charge into battle on Wii back in 2008.

Nintendo Switch will launch worldwide on Friday 3rd March, priced at £279.99 ($299.99).
