Devolver Digital and Nomada Studio have announced that their “emotionally-charged adventure” Neva is in development for Nintendo Switch.
This is the next game from the team behind Gris, and will let you experience “the moving tale of a young woman and her lifelong bond with a magnificent wolf as they embark on a thrilling adventure through a dying world.”
After a traumatic encounter with dark forces, Alba becomes bound to a curious and mischievous wolf cub. The pair must work together to help each other to overcome increasingly dangerous situations. The wolf cub will grow and mature over time, as will Alba’s relationship with us as they continue to brave the decaying world.
The developer has explained that the game is built around “platforming, puzzles, and combat against monstrous enemies, with a minimal UI, delicate art, high-quality traditional animation, and haunting music.”
Neva will release digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in 2024.
