NES Remix 2 will sport a new Championship Mode, challenging players to achieve their highest cumulative score across three specified games with a multiplier-based scoring system coming into play.

This takes its inspiration from the iconic Nintendo World Championship event, which took place in 1990 and toured 29 cities across the United States. The Championship Mode line-up will comprise of classics such as Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3 and Dr. Mario, although requires that players have save date from the first NES Remix to access the feature. Scores can also be shared to Miiverse, so that you can compete with friends and other players.

NES Remix 2 will see release on Wii U through the Nintendo eShop on April 25th.
