The Australian Classification Board has issued a rating for NEO: The World Ends With You, suggesting that Square Enix could soon confirm a release date for the game.

Rather than have returning protagonists, the game will star four new characters in Rindo, Fret, Nagi and Minamimoto.

In the 3D action RPG, you play as Rindo and must once again battle for survival and unravel the mysteries that surround the deadly Reaper’s Game that he has been forced to take part in.

Modern Shibuya has been recreated in a comic-inspired style, and you will be able to enjoy the sights, sounds and culture of the bustling city while battling monsters and completing missions in an effort to change the fate that you have been handed.

The game’s reveal trailer had looked to showcase “the hip visual direction, 3D environments, gameplay and battle sequences, and amped-up soundtrack.”

NEO: The World Ends With You will release at retail and on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in Summer 2021.

  1. “Four new characters”

Minamimoto isn’t a new character, he was an antagonist in the previous game.
