Digital Dreams Entertainment has announced that Mutant Football League will release on Nintendo Switch, the spiritual successor to SEGA Genesis classic Mutant League Football.

Once you choose from 18 teams like the bloodthirsty, wisecracking Skeletal Deadheads, Armored Bruiserbots, Criminal Aliens, Mutated Humans and Monstrous Orcs, you will take to the pitch in this brutal but action-packed, arcade-style football game.

Matches take place in fantastical arenas where ruthless fans and deadly traps set the stage for mayhem, with a win awaiting the team that achieves the highest score or by killing and eradicating their opponents.

With exploding body parts and comically horrific deaths, you can use each team’s Dirty Tricks to swing matches in your favour. Bribe the Ref will let you overturn a call or you can have a player become Ginormous, growing in size to pummel the puny combatants in their path.

Mutant Football League will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in 2018.
