Moshi Monsters creator awarded OBE

Mind Candy founder Michael Acton Smith, the creative mind behind Moshi Monsters, has been awarded an OBE within the New Year’s honours list.

Mind Candy was formed back in 2003, later conjuring the idea for their globally popular online ‘edutainment’ title in 2007.

“This is amazing news to round off what has been a magical year for Moshi Monsters,” Smith commented. “I’m honored and thrilled to be awarded this OBE and to be in such impressive company, but obviously this is an accolade that all the team at Mind Candy and Firebox can be proud of.”
