Milestone and Feld Motor Sports have announced that Monster Jam Showdown is coming to Nintendo Switch later this year.

Developed in Unreal Engine 5, the game promises to take advantage of its cutting-edge technology “to create lifelike, meticulously detailed environments as well as an unprecedented lighting system and physics system.”

You can participate in official competitions, conquer events that “make the fun as big and as loud as the sport itself” and drive 66 iconic monster trucks – 40 of which will be in the base game and 26 available as free or paid downloadable content – with more than 140 ain’t jobs to unlock.

To faithfully reproduce Monster Jam live events, you can compete in three categories of venues – American football fields, baseball stadiums and speedways – which provide rectangular, diamond and oval layouts.

There will also be three original environments that take inspiration from the American great outdoors, whether that be the barren desert of Death Valley, the forests and crystal rivers of Colorado or the wintry, wild mountains of Alaska.

Monster Jam Showdown will be released at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in 2024.
