The Training Area in Monster Hunter Rise is the perfect location to practice using the different weapons that you can wield to confront the many monsters that Capcom’s action role-playing game throws at you. The trickiest part is working out where it is.
After the introductory cutscene, you will need to make your way to the Buddy Plaza. This area lets you hire new Palicoe and Palamute characters from Buddy Handler Iori, barter with Rondine the Trader at The Argosy or send out your Meowcenaries to gather items. There is also a small boat that is shored up, which is what you will need to use to reach the Training Area for the first time.
Simply walk up to it, press the A Button to “Move” and you will arrive at the Training Area location. This will also unlock it as a destination that you can fast travel to using the “Move Around Village” option in the System menu, making your journey there much quicker moving forwards.
Whether new to the series or a monster hunting veteran, the Training Area helps you to understand the moveset to each weapon and hone your skills. Free to switch between your weapons using an Item Box, you can strike the Toadversary with melee weapons or hit targets at a distance using ranged weapons.
You can speak to Sekirei the Trainer to adjust Training Options such as Head Position, Direction, Targets or your Wirebug Gauge for some objects in the Training Area. And it’s worth mentioning that you can experiment with any ammo and coatings without worrying about using them up.
