The Pokémon Company International has announced that you can redeem a Mystery Gift code to receive Mew in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet.
Thanks to a new Get Mew and Mewtwo distribution event, you can enter the password GETY0URMEW in the Mystery Gift menu in your game to receive the New Species Pokémon.
This will let you add Mew to your team as you make preparations to challenge a Mewtwo with the Mightiest Mark in an upcoming Tera Raid Battle event.
Each Trainer’s Mew will arrive with a different Tera Type, Nature and move set, making it “truly a Mew of your very own.” You’re encouraged to use the hashtag #MyVeryOwnMew on social media to share your special Mew with the rest of the world.
Your Mew will be Level 5, and know the moves Swift, Light Screen, Life Dew and a fourth that will be dependent on its Tera Type.
How to use Mystery Gift in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet
To claim a Mystery Gift in-game, you can follow these steps:
- Launch your Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet game.
- Press the X Button.
- Select Poké Portal
- Select Mystery Gift.
- Select Get with Code/Password as required.
- Enter GETY0URMEW as your Code/Password.
- Watch as your Mystery Gift arrives
- Remember to Save your game!
