Master Swordsmith forges Pokémon X & Y’s Honedge

Whilst real-life Pokémon are largely confined to the likes of plushies, figures and other such merchandise, some lend themselves well to other means of reproduction. Such as Pokémon X & Y’s new addition, Honedge.

Master swordsmith Tony Swatton has turned his attention to recreating the sword Pokémon at the request of those who watch his Man at Arms show, with Game Freak’s creation becoming reasonably deadly when the entire manufacturing process is completed.

Within the video below, Swatton provides a rather extensive overview of just how much work goes into creating the replica, right through from early templates to last minute decoration.
