Martyn Gibbs has been appointed as GAME’s new chief executive officer.
Having previously worked at HMV and WH Smith, Gibbs is more well-known as being the managing director of Gamestation prior to the company being acquired by GAME in 2007. He had left the company last year.
Such news follows the acquisition of The GAME Group by OpCapita, with confirmation also being provided that David Hamid will be the firm’s executive chairman.
“I am delighted to be leading GAME back to success. Our immediate priority is to help the GAME and Gamestation teams, so they can give our customers a great Easter in our stores and websites”, Gibbs commented.
