Nintendo has released a new software update for Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story + Bowser Jr’s Journey, correcting a major game-breaking bug that would prevent you from progressing any further in the game.

This would happen when Mario and Luigi become separated in Dimble Wood, and, alone as Luigi, if you went back to use the previous save point, you would be unable to progress any further.

The good news is that issue has now been fixed, and, after you have downloaded update version 1.1, even those that it has already affected will be able to continue playing.

Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story + Bowser Jr’s Journey is now available exclusively for Nintendo 3DS worldwide.

The update will fix a gameplay issue.

  • Depending on the event, sometimes the player got stuck on a certain map when controlling Luigi solo and trying to save the game progress by using the Save Block. The issue has been fixed.
  • By downloading the update data, this issue will no longer occur.
  • Also, if the issue has already occurred, it will be fixed so that the player can continue playing.
