Mario Kart 7 update now available

Nintendo of Europe have announced that the update for Mario Kart 7 is now available through the Ninetndo eShop.

This removes the ability to exploit shortcuts during online multiplayer on the “Wuhu Island Loop,” “Wuhu Mountain Loop,” and “GBA Bowser Castle 1” courses.

Those that don’t download the update data will find that they are no longer able to play online, although can still enjoy local multiplayer and single player races without it.

In order to download the Mario Kart 7 update, you must ensure that you have performed the latest Nintendo 3DS system update and then visit the Nintendo eShop where you will be prompted to download the update.

Once installed, when you launch Mario Kart 7 you will see “Ver. 1.1” above the multiplayer icon if the update was successful.
