Nintendo has revealed that Mario Golf: Super Rush is coming to Nintendo Switch, with Camelot behind what the company is pitching as “the biggest Mario Golf game yet.”

With the chance to hit the green with up to four players either locally or online, your favourite Mushroom Kingdom characters make their return in modes such as Standard Golf, Speed Golf and the “RPG-like golf adventure” in Story mode.

You can choose to either use “intuitive” motion or button controls, coming to rely on a shot gauge that will adapt to the curve of the course.

Speed Golf is the first new addition to be revealed, which sees up to four players tee off at the same time and race each other to get their ball in first. You will need to outpace and disrupt your opponents’ efforts using dashes and special shots, which can see Luigi freeze the green or King Bob-omb pelt the course with bombs.

The Story mode will see your Mii character enrol in golf training at a prestigious country club with the dream of going from rookie to pro. Competing against your Mushroom Kingdom classmates to earn experience points, you will level up to improve your character’s stats such as their power, movement and spin.

Mario Golf: Super Rush will release at retail and on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 25th June 2021.
