Lucas and Animal Crossing amiibo launch in early 2016

amiibo continue to be a resounding success for Nintendo, with more than 21 million having been sold worldwide to date.

Nintendo will continue to spur interest well in to next year, with this week’s Nintendo Direct sharing that early 2016 will see the company release the Lucas amiibo and Resetti, Blathers, Celeste and Kicks amiibo in the Animal Crossing Series.

While Europe has been given an “early next year” release window, Nintendo of America confirmed that they will all launch on January 22nd and will be accompanied by Series 2 of the Animal Crossing amiibo cards.

Collectors should also take note that a Wolf Link amiibo will be released to coincide with The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD on March 4th, across Europe and North America.
