Kingdom Hearts 3D tops Japanese software chart

Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance achieved the top position within the latest Media Create software sales chart, having sold 213,579 units within its first week on sale.

It also provided the Nintendo 3DS with a hardware sales boost, 121,921 units having been sold over the past week.

Elsewhere, Sony’s rival PlayStation Vita continues in its failure to gain significant traction with sales of 12,105 units, and only Konami’s New Little King Story making the software chart.

Media Create’s top twenty software chart is as follows:
