The Normal and Psychic-type Pokémon Girafarig was introduced in Generation II and makes a return in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet with a new evolution. You will be able to discover and catch one in a handful of areas in the Paldea region, and, as you set out to complete the region’s Pokédex, you will want to know how to evolve the Pokémon into Farigiraf.

Where To Catch Girafarig

Before you need to know how to evolve Girafarig into Farigiraf, you may want to know where to catch Girafarig in the wild. Its natural habitat is a western area in the Paldea region, near the desert (as shown in the screenshot below).

How To Evolve Girafarig Into Farigiraf

To evolve Girafarig into Farigiraf, the Long Neck Pokémon will need to know its signature Psychic-type move Twin Beam. It learns this move at Level 32, after which, once it is levelled further, it will evolve into Farigiraf.

Whether by accident or on purpose, if you choose for Girafarig to not learn Twin Beam there is a way to relearn old moves. Open the in-game menu (X Button), select your Girafarig and then choose the option Check Summary. Then navigate to your Pokémon’s move list, press the A Button and you will be presented with options to Remember moves, Forget a move or Use TMs to learn moves.

Where To Catch Farigiraf

If you aren’t necessarily bothered about evolving Girafarig and simply want to add Farigiraf’s tome to your Pokédex, you may be looking to catch the Pokémon in the wild. Unfortunately, the Pokédex lists that their habitat is unknown, meaning that the only known route is to evolve Girafarig. Luckily, that isn’t too difficult at least.

Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet are now available at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
