The Grass and Ghost-type Pokémon Bramblin is a brand new addition to the Pokédex in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. You will be able to discover and catch Bramblin in many areas across the Paldea region, and, as you set out to complete the region’s Pokédex, you will want to know how to evolve the Tumbleweed Pokémon into Brambleghast.

Where To Catch Bramblin

Before you need to know how to evolve Bramblin into Brambleghast, you may want to know where to catch Bramblin in the wild. The Tumbleweed Pokémon is a regular spawn in the East Province’s Area Three and the Asado Desert which is to the west of the Paldea region, as you can see in the screenshot below:

How To Evolve Bramblin Into Brambleghast

The method of evolving Bramblin into Brambleghast isn’t particularly obvious. You will need to use the game’s “Let’s Go!” feature, which allows the Lead Pokémon in your party to walk around alongside you.

After opening the in-game menu (X Button), you can use the Y Button to select Bramblin as the Lead Pokémon in your party. Once you have done so, you can press the R Button to make Bramblin run off in the direction that you are facing or the ZR Button for it to simply walk alongside you.

You will need to walk 1,000 steps with Bramblin for it to be able to evolve into Brambleghast, the bad news being that there isn’t any real way to track this in-game. This can be done anywhere in the game, although a low-level area will let you easily deal with any Wild Pokémon that interrupt you.

After you estimate that you have walked 1,000 steps, level up Bramblin once more and, if the milestone has been hit, it will evolve into Brambleghast.

Where To Catch Brambleghast

If you aren’t necessarily bothered about evolving Bramblin and simply want to add Brambleghast’s tome to your Pokédex, you may be looking to catch the Pokémon in the wild. Unfortunately, the Pokédex lists that the Tumbleweed Pokémon’s habitat is unknown, meaning that the only known route is to evolve Bramblin. Luckily, now that you know what you need to do that process shouldn’t take you too long at least.

Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet are now available at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
