As promised, Bandai Namco’s Katsuhiro Harada took to the stage at Japan’s Niconico Chokaigi show where he shared more progress that has been made with Pokkén Tournament‘s development.
The arcade fighter’s character roster already boasts Lucario, Machamp, Blaziken, Suicune, Gardevoir, and Pikachu, and Gengar has now joined their ranks. Gengar’s reveal trailer shared that when it activates its Burst Attack in battle, it will undergo Mega Evolution to heighten its attacks.
The Ghost and Poison-type Pokémon was another addition requested by fans, after the development team requested input as to who they should include within the brawler when it was announced last year.
Pokkén Tournament will release in arcades across Japan this summer.
