Nicalis and 34BigThings have announced that Redout will release on Nintendo Switch next month, a futuristic racer that promises an uncompromising, fast-paced, and tough driving experience.

It comes to the portable home console after a long wait but will include all downloadable content packs previously released on other platforms.

That results in it having 60 tracks in which you will race around more than 12 environments, 28 different vehicles, 11 event types, over 100 events in the single-player Career mode, and the chance to customize your vehicle with hundreds of liveries.

“We are very, very happy to release Redout on Switch,” explains 34BigThings CEO Valerio Di Donato. “Porting the game to Nintendo’s console has been a bumpy road filled with technical challenges, and we are proud to have come out on top of them to deliver fans what they have been asking.

“In the last six months, fans have been asking us daily with great concern whether the port to Switch had been canceled. We are thrilled to show them that it never was. Not only that, this version is the most complete version of Redout we ever made and it will be a major milestone for the entire genre.

“Nicalis’ support has been crucial in accomplishing this port, and we are honored to have worked alongside a group of veterans of the industry such as them. We hope that this collaboration will develop further, tying a stronger bond between us.”

Redout will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on May 14th, priced at £26.99.
