Daedalic Entertainment and Kong Orange have announced that Felix the Reaper will release on Nintendo Switch, a game that the developer describes as a “3D shadow manipulation puzzle adventure.”
You play as Felix, a reaper that works at The Ministry of Death and who has fallen in love with Betty The Maiden from The Ministry of Life. He believes that going to the human world and working as a field reaper will let him meet her one day.
Felix must move in the shadows and manipulate the environment to make sure that the Ministry of Death meets its quota, practising his dance moves while he is at it.
Completing a level will unlock a hardcore version, while collecting skull achievements will unlock bonus time trials.
“From its quirky mix of challenging puzzles and indie music soundtrack, everyone here at Daedalic love what the team at Kong Orange has put together with Felix the Reaper,” explains Daedalic CEO and founder Carsten Fichtelmann. “We are delighted to publish the game on behalf of Kong Orange, as well as get it in the hands of consumers at gamescom and PAX West over the next few weeks.”
“We are excited to partner with Daedalic, as Felix the Reaper will benefit from its expertise when it comes to marketing and distribution, allowing us to focus on completing a game that will make Felix and the Ministry of Death proud,” Kong Orange Esben Kjær Ravn adds. “We are also looking forward to introducing Felix to gamers, media and influencers during gamescom and PAX West.”
Felix the Reaper will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch in 2019.
