Weekly Famitsu has published their Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury review within the Japanese gaming magazine’s illustrious pages, delivering the first verdict on the upcoming Mushroom Kingdom adventure.

That has seen their Cross Review, a panel that is comprised of four reviewers that each provides their own individual score, award the game with 36 out of a maximum possible score of 40 – which, broken down, saw it receive one 8, two 9 and one 10 scores.

The other Nintendo Switch games that they reviewed were Little Nightmares II (33 out of 40) and New Star Manager (30 out of 40).

The original Wii U game has been “enhanced” for Nintendo Switch, and will now let you team up with up to four players whether that be in local multiplayer or online for the first time.

Super Mario 3D World was the first 3D instalment to ever feature multiplayer, with players joining each other on a grand adventure that only the Mushroom Kingdom can provide, as Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach and Toad – each with their own unique characteristics.

There are also new Cat Mario and Cat Peach amiibo figures that will be released at the same time as the game.

Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury will release at retail and on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 12th February 2021.
