RedDeer.Games and emergeWorlds have announced that their dark fantasy adventure Dros is coming to Nintendo Switch.

You will swap between a small gooey creature called Dros and Captain, her human bounty hunter shell, who must set aside their differences to make it out of Alchemy Tower in one piece.

Meeting the tower’s strange inhabitants you will unravel its mysteries as you collect alchemical treasures and explore a world in which a twist lies around every corner.

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with RedDeer.Games for the Nintendo Switch release of Dros!” enthuses emergeWorlds producer Tim Molony. “It’s exciting that soon Switch players will be able to experience the unique gameplay and fantasy world we’ve crafted.”

RedDeer.Games marketing director Marta Raczyńska-Wasiak adds: “I’m astonished by the possibility of going together on a journey with Dros and Captain alongside incredibly talented people from emergeWords and showing the Nintendo Switch community the wonders of Alchemy Tower.”

The developer has outlined the game’s key features, which include:

  • Handcrafted visuals. Every little corner of the Tower has been designed with great detail.
  • Unique soundtrack. We worked with electronic pioneer Arovane to make a soundtrack that weaves through the world.
  • Explore 40 levels each with their own puzzle mechanics, enemies, hidden rooms and platforming.
  • Body Swap between Captain, a human bounty hunter and Little Dros, a small gooey creature.
  • Play as two very different characters with their own strengths and weaknesses.
  • Amass Prima and gain new abilities.
  • Odd and often charming characters to meet and talk with.
  • Narrative with humour and a bunch of heart.
  • Collect diary entries to unlock story and endings.
  • New Challenges become available after you finish the game.
  • Speedrun to find special secrets.

Dros will be released digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in 2024.
