505 Games and Rabbit & Bear Studios have confirmed a release date for Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, which is coming to Nintendo Switch.

The game is set in one corner of Allraan, a tapestry of nations with diverse cultures and values that have long been shaped by the alliances and aggressions of the humans, beastmen, elves and desert people who call it home.

It is the Galdean Empire that has edged out other nations after discovering a technology that amplifies the rune-lenses’ magic. The Empire now scours the continent for an artifact that will expand its power even further.

It is on one such expedition that Seign Kesling, a young and gifted imperial officer, and Nowa, a boy from a remote village, meet each other and become friends. However, a twist of fate will soon drag them into the fires of war and force them to re-examine everything they believe to be right and true.

“We are thrilled to finally announce the release date of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes,” enthuses Rabbit & Bear studio lead Yoshitaka Murayama. “Having our game featured at Nintendo Direct this year is a real testament to the hard work of our team, but more importantly, to the patience of all our fantastic backers who have had the faith in us to deliver the Action JRPG they’ve been waiting for.”

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes will be released at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 23 April 2024.
