EarthBound confirmed for Wii U Virtual Console

EarthBound will be released through the Wii U Virtual Console service this year, it has today been confirmed.

It was late last year that director Shigesato Itoi hinted that it could be making a return, and now it’s official.

During today’s Nintendo 3DS Direct, Satoru Iwata announced plans to bring the game to North America and Europe by the end of the year.
